# JRNL asset record

Prepared October 8, 2026. All public content uses fictional demo identities and memories. No real account data, private photography, credentials, album covers, or recorded music was used.

## Licensed photography

The source pages explicitly identified these as free photos under the [Unsplash License](https://unsplash.com/license), checked during implementation. That license permits download, modification, distribution, and commercial use. These are illustrative marketing photographs, not a photo-resale or stock-photo service. No identifiable real person is featured in the selected source photographs.

Photo captions in the website describe the fictional story rather than claiming these photographs were taken by an actual JRNL user. The Scripps Pier and Brooklyn Bridge Park coordinates are supplied as fictional visit locations. The coffee image depicts an unspecified café; it is not represented as a verified business in La Jolla.

## Original generated fictional cast

`assets/friends-640.webp`, `friends-1280.webp`, `maya.webp`, `jamie.webp`, and `sam.webp` derive from one image generated for this project using the built-in OpenAI ImageGen tool through the ImageGen skill. The small portraits are crops of the same source image, keeping the cast consistent. The scene is illustrative and does not claim a documented real-world event or exact photographic location.

The characters Maya Chen, Jamie Rivera, and Sam Bennett are fictional adults. They are not real users, models, testimonials, or endorsers. Image alternatives, the About dialog, and the Credits dialog disclose the fictional/generated nature of the content.

Exact generation prompt:

> Use case: photorealistic-natural. Asset type: original fictional lifestyle demo photograph for JRNL, a memory journal app. Primary request: a candid editorial photograph of three completely fictional adult friends sitting close together on a low sandy seaside wall at golden hour, quietly laughing after a day at the beach. Left: a woman in her late twenties, dark shoulder-length wavy hair, cream linen shirt. Center: a man in his early thirties, curly brown hair, warm medium skin, muted olive overshirt. Right: a woman in her late twenties, short auburn hair, soft rust knit top. Frame from the waist up, all three faces clear, approximately evenly spaced left to right, with generous space above their heads and ocean softly out of focus behind. Natural, relaxed expressions, realistic skin and hair texture, understated travel-magazine photography, subtle film grain, warm late-afternoon light, sophisticated earthy tones. Landscape 3:2 composition. No text, no logos, no phone UI, no watermarks, no famous or existing real people, no recognizable brand products. These people are fictional sample characters, not endorsers.

## Original generated profile portrait

`assets/alex-portrait.webp` (full portrait) and `alex.webp` (small avatar) were created using the built-in OpenAI ImageGen tool. The same portrait appears in every native screenshot and recording. Alex Morgan is a completely fictional adult woman in her twenties, with no real-person reference or endorsement. The generated source is preserved in the project as the full portrait WebP; responsive versions only resize/compress it.

Exact generation prompt:

> Use case: photorealistic-natural. Create an original editorial profile portrait for the completely fictional JRNL demo user Alex Morgan, a beautiful adult woman aged about 25. Head-and-shoulders, centered and facing the camera, warm relaxed smile, expressive brown eyes, softly wavy chestnut-brown shoulder-length hair, natural skin texture, understated makeup, cream linen top. Soft golden-hour natural light, a softly blurred warm ivory and peach background with a hint of seaside atmosphere. Tasteful, elegant, approachable travel-magazine portrait, realistic photography, no glamour retouching. Square composition with generous breathing room around the head, so a circular avatar crop keeps all facial features and hair visible. One person only, no text, no watermark, no logos, no celebrity or resemblance to a specific real person. This is a fictional sample character, not a customer or endorser.

## Music artwork and metadata

`assets/coastline.webp`, `slow-sunday.webp`, and `afterglow.webp` are original geometric artwork created programmatically for this demo. The Daylight Club, the album Little Things, and the tracks Coastline, Slow Sunday, and Afterglow are invented sample metadata. They do not identify actual Spotify releases, contain copyrighted album art, or provide audio. Vibe scores are fictional fixture inputs to JRNL’s real summary builder; no scores are represented as measured results for actual music. Native controls shown inside captures reflect JRNL’s real interface; this website offers no simulated music playback.

## JRNL branding and native captures

- `assets/jrnl-mark.png` comes from `jrnl_iOS/Resources/Assets.xcassets/NotebookLogoMark.imageset/notebook-logo-mark.png`. Only transparent padding was trimmed and the asset resized; the mark was preserved.
- `assets/favicon.png` comes from JRNL’s existing `WebFavicon.imageset/favicon.png`.
- `assets/memory-coast-*`, `memory-new-york-*`, `memory-coffee-*`, `people-*`, `places-*`, `music-*`, `profile-*`, and `globe-*` are screenshots of existing native JRNL SwiftUI components in the isolated offline demo build. `-390`, `-780`, and `-full` indicate responsive or full-resolution versions.
- `assets/jrnl-moment.mp4` is a silent recording of the same native simulator interface, showing genuine media-tab transitions between the photo, People, tinted Places, and Music Summary panels. It is not an HTML animation or an AI-generated interface.
- `assets/social-card.jpg` is a project-created composition of JRNL’s existing mark, the native memory capture, and the licensed coast photo. It has no unlicensed third-party music or personal data.

The production app and backend were not modified to generate these assets. App UI remains JRNL’s project-owned source material. Source captures have not been retouched to suggest nonexistent features.

## Maps and platform presentation

The place screen uses JRNL’s existing native MapKit presentation. Apple Maps logos/legal attribution remain inside the full app capture where present; the website does not extract, host, rebuild, or serve map tiles. Map attribution must stay visible in any future crops or replacements. The iPhone presentation is an original CSS frame, not downloaded Apple product artwork. Apple is not a sponsor or endorser. No App Store badge is used before a real listing exists. Reference: [Apple marketing guidelines](https://developer.apple.com/app-store/marketing/guidelines/).

## Fonts, icons, and dependencies

The page uses the visitor’s system sans-serif font and Georgia/Times New Roman fallback; no font files are downloaded or distributed. The simple arrows/pin are original inline SVG/CSS. No third-party JavaScript, tracking scripts, live map service, remote fonts, or embedded music service is required.
